The Great Pumpkin

Blake was chomping at the bit this morning to carve pumpkins, so we got started bright and early in our PJs.

Ewwww

Scooping out the guts is the best part! Andy's just waiting patiently to get his hands in that goopy mess!

A Bootiful Pair!

Blake designed the white one, and Mommy did the orange one. I think they turned out pretty well!

Scaaaary

Now that Blake's a very grown-up 6-year-old, he's rebelled and refused to wear one of mommy's cutsie costumes. He decided that a scary skeleton was the thing to be, and he got to give it a test run for a Halloween costume birthday party last night. Even though he eats and eats, his super metabolism keeps him bony, so this is a very fitting costume for him! I also love the fact that it's actually pajamas, so he'll be able to get some use out of it!

Girlie man

Andy and I went to Blake's school today to volunteer, and we had to make a quick stop at home to get a couple of things at lunchtime. I had left Andy upstairs playing in his room while I went to the kitchen to make him a lunch to take back to school with us. Needless to say, I was in a hurry and wasn't checking up on him like I should have been. When I went back upstairs to get him, I found that he had pulled my makeup bag off of the bathroom counter and had had a LOT of fun! The black stripes on his cheek are eyeliner and of course the lipstick is my brightest shade of red. All I can say is he keeps me humble!

Hey, this doesn't taste like cherry...

I don't think the lipstick tasted nearly as good as he hoped it would! He was pretty upset when I had to scrub all that gunk off of him. Just FYI, rubbing alcohol pads take lipstick off of cheeks and fingers quite nicely!

Caramel Apples, Good Sticky Fun!

Didn't Blake do a great job making these very festive caramel apples? You can tell by the evidence on his face that he thoroughly enjoyed the process (except unwrapping all those caramels...he got tired of that very quickly)!

Mmmmmmm

Andy's admiring his brother's handiwork. I'm sure there'll be some good pictures of him eating one of these coming soon....

Brotherly Love

Can you tell Blake's trying to keep Andy from climbing on the back of the chair? We have such handsome boys...they're getting so big! Thanks, Aunt Amy, for the adorable shirts!

All dressed up

We went to a friend's wedding a couple of weeks ago...we clean up pretty well I'd say! Thanks, Kim, for the picture!

Spiky Andy

Andy's finally liking his bathtime better and isn't trying to climb out of the tub anymore! He thinks he looks pretty cute with his spiky hair afterward and sometimes tries to comb it that way himself.

Spiky Andy, Part 2

He wouldn't let me comb it down, so this is how he spent the evening...silly baby!
