Blake and his Bionicles

Blake's got a new obsession...they're called Bionicles and they're strange robot things from Lego that you can put together in different ways. I've never seen his so excited about anything (other than Hot Wheels)!

New Shirts and Sunflowers

Mammo's got a cool new sewing machine that does embroidery and she made the boys these neat shirts with little airplanes and their names on them...aren't they cute? Blake's having to practically wrestle his brother to stay still, hence the pained look on his face!

While we were out there he noticed the sunflower above his head. He was very impressed by Blake's gardening skills!

Blake planted the sunflower seeds this spring and I don't think he had any idea how big they'd get. He thought it was really cool when they got a whole lot taller than him and he was especially proud when the first one blossomed!

Big Second Grader!

Blake started second grade on August 5th and so far he's had an awesome year! Several of his good friends are in his class and he loves his new teacher. Hopefully he'll continue to like it as much as he does now!

The Sanctuary...Rich's "Happy Place!"

Rich's Aunt Jan, who lives up and Thornton but works at a very exclusive golf course near Castle Rock, invited Rich to play with her there twice this summer.

He looks forward to playing here all year since it's such a beautiful course...you can certainly see why!

Fun and Games!

While Mammo and I were cooking supper we left Andy alone in the living room to watch a cartoon for all of 5 minutes. He obviously found something much more interesting to do! It took us a long, long time to figure out which pieces went with what game when he was done making his messes!

Grandma and Grandpa's House

We also stopped in Roswell to visit with Grandma and Grandpa for a couple of days. Grandma make some very cute ice cream cone cupcakes, which the boys thought were the best idea ever!

J.J. came over to spend the day with Blake...those two are like peas and carrots! They had so much fun playing cars....

...and playing with the bubble guns that Grandma had bought for them as a surprise! Andy got one, too!

They played for hours outside chasing each other with their bubbles!

July Trip to Hondo

I'm terribly embarrassed that these pictures are so delayed, but I guess better late than never! In July the boys and I went to Hondo for a visit and we were able to spend some time with Amy, Jack and Charlotte, too! Charlotte fell in love with Mammo's singing bear. She talked to it, cuddled it and pushed it's paw to make it sing over, and over, and over.....very cute!

Blake found a brand new cap riffle waiting for him when we got there. I don't think he let it out of his sight the whole time we were there!

Jack and Blake are so cute together. Jack thinks Blake is just the coolest and the feeling is definitely mutual!

The look on Andy's face pretty much sums up his mischevious frame of mind during the trip!

Jerry took Blake for a ride on the tractor and even let him "drive" it a little!
